CryptoLocker Ransomware demands $300 to decrypt your files

This debilitating malware called Cryptolocker encrypts your most important files and documents unless you pay a ransom (in the region of $300). There are reports of businesses having to cave and pay the ransom, as the cost of the ransom pales into comparison to the cost and man hours involved in mopping up the mess made by these hackers.

Don’t put off backing up your information to external devices, or look into cloud services, as this can be a way of ensuring you have a useable copy of your files in the event of a malware infection.
